    As a social worker working in a London hospital, it is a difficult transition, but very rewarding! Lots of hurdles to overcome such as health policies and ways of working in a multidisciplinary team where a lot of the day to day practice is clinical and largely a medical model. Once you have the experience, I would say you have a much better chance of getting any role in a local authority and can move back to hospital social work with confidence should you want to. You also have lots of opportunities to work with NHS services such as Continuing Healthcare Teams,
