      About Us

Community Care helps social workers stay up-to-date with the latest and most significant developments in practice, law and policy to help them to change lives for the better and flourish in their careers. We also support social work employers and leaders to recruit and retain high-quality practitioners and develop their staff to the best of their abilities.

      We do this by:

      1. Providing practitioners and leaders with critical news and information through our communitycare.co.uk site

You can visit the site at any time for the most up-to-date news, and also sign up to our newsletters to have the latest information mailed direct to your inbox. Sign up today

We have two regular podcast series available for free, wherever you get your podcasts.

The Social Work Community Podcast is where social workers come to discuss key issues affecting their profession. Whether you are a student or an experienced social worker – whether you are frontline or management, this podcast is for you.

And on Learn on the Go, Community Care editors and expert guests discuss the latest research, theories and practice issues, and look at what they mean for social workers.

In addition to a jobs listing platform, the Jobs team are developing bespoke partnerships with organisations to help senior leaders understand and overcome the issues surrounding social worker retention.

This two-day event is full of CPD and essential learning, covering key topics across children and families’ social work, adult social care and social work management. It is free to attend for all registered social workers, and some other associated job titles.

Full details and online registration can be found at www.communitycarelive.co.uk

Community Care also holds regular one-hour webinars throughout the year, addressing hot topics in the sector.

And we hold one-day masterclasses, providing expert learning for social workers and social care practitioners on specialist topics.

      5. Providing a gated, moderated space for social workers to support each other through The Social Work Community.
