This government have not been committed to Adult Social Care over the 13 years they have been governing the country. The same apples to the NHS, The Law courts ,prison service et al.
Nothing new having unqualified practitioners carrying out assessments. Half my adults teams were unqualified and very skilled, dedicated and professional they were but not paid or trained to carry the risk that large caseloads and complex cases they can end up carrying. I tried to allocate appropriate cases and held unallocated cases on my caseload.
Thank god I’m retired.
