Actually fast trackers spend every day on the job, working alongside studying. They are taught develop deep critical thinking, curiosuty and self reflection. They are taught to challenge. Unfortunately the system doesn’t give them a chance.

Great idea. Mixing up disciplines creats varied and wider perspectives and can only improve thinking critically. Which is best practice.

Only give jobs to people that have a lot more life experience. Choose people with common sense rather than useless prices of paper and most importantly talk to those of us that have suffered childhood abuse. You may be surprised by what you learn

I am a experienced registered MH nurse, I’m trained in a number of different therapies and psychotherapy . I have over 26 years of experience in advanced safeguarding in a range of health, social care, housing and youth work roles .

Yet despite this I’m not permitted to work in social work teams , or child protection teams as I’m not a social worker.?? Yet the need for mh is so high and what i could bring and other highly skilled and experienced mental health nurses to social work roles ??

Strange as I constantly see social workers working in mental health roles and risk management with sometimes very little knowledge of mental health and they are working in an inter changeable role to me????

Also I’m disgusted by the amount of unregulated children’s homes being run that are money making places with inadequate or unreasonable supported front line staff, some of which do not speak full English which poses serious issues for children with high vulnerability and often social communication needs and differences.. communication Is imperative and I’m sure information gets lost in transit as timed due to issues raised which further increases risk for children . I urgently you allow mental health nurses to work in social care and child protection it’s the future . I also urge a green paper and policy whereby registered clinicians eg social workers, nurses, occupational therapist etc are able to over see any in regulated homes for children to ensure and safe guarding issues are picked up and dealt with.. equally the cqc have a lot to answer for and Ofsted..I find from experience that when you raise serious safeguarding with cqc that requires investigating they are not interested or pass the book or you find that the staff or organisation you are reporting work for the cqc, basically corruption and huge conflicts of interest that directly impact safeguarding and the safety of vulnerable people and children. It’s a disgrace
