AI is incredibly useful and will reduce office time substantially. I can take notes during an interview or assessment by hand or on my laptop, and while I sit in my car afterwards, have the text recognised, spell checked and nicely formatted, by the time I drive to the office or next appointment. Starmer is right to say this will have a transformative impact on public service efficiency. I don’t think Social Workers need to fear for their jobs though, it will simply take a time consuming task and make it pleasurable and quick.
