What concerns me when LAs get such on awful report is that nothing seems to happen regarding the clients and their families who have been on the receiving end of this poor practice and decision making. You can bet that many people suffered when these mistakes were made. Mistakes that had a detrimental impact on the families and children involved but this always seems to be brushed under the carpet. the focus is about moving on, but what about those families and individuals who suffered from this poor and chaotic practice and the and mistakes made ? If this were a health matter investegations would take place to contact people where mistakes were made with the aim to rectify these, same with PPI etc etc. Most clients don’t have a clue of their rights or how to make a complaint. In my experience, many soliciters also take work for the LA and really dont give a good service to their clients, again the clients don’t know their rights in respect of the service they should receive from them. The longer I worked as a Child Protection social worker the more awful practice I saw, the more I came to realise that the system is so terribly unfair and oppressive
