Have any Social worker look at the NICE guidelines on PDA?

Thanks for asking this question instead of getting carried away in emotions like other responders. The answer lies in the fact that – the author Cathleen Lang is a social worker not a doctor, NAS is a registered charity and not a medical body, Newson et all proposed in 2002 that PDA is a distinct disorder but most doctors remain unconvinced. Though since 2013, Autism is called ‘Autism Spectrum Disorder’ but the diagnostic criteria are stricter than before. There is no such thing as PDA profile recognised while defining ASD as per DSM5 or ICD 10. As it stands PDA profile remains largely an urban myth. National Autistic Society is just a charity, it has no responsibility of defining medical or psychological disorders
